Description
The Guild of Motoring Artists (GMA) was established in 1986 as a group of professional and semi-professional artists, who shared a common interest in automotive art. Over the years it has attracted some of the best and diverse worldwide automotive artists through its selective membership, exhibiting around the UK with invitational exhibitions in the USA.
Our second exhibition at the Club features works from thirteen of our members in a variety of media and styles. You will find work from Bill Pack, Steve Goodwin, Ella Freire, Anna-Louise Felstead, Jonny Ambrose, Jon Stevenson, Dave O’Brien, Richard Neergaard, Sean Wales, David Ginn, David Purvis, Brian Casey and Barry Hunter on display.
Steve Goodwin – worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for over 35 years. He has a particular interest in motoring subjects and his work is relief printing, a method where the image is drawn (backwards) on a smooth block of material, and the non-printing part of the image is carved away. The surface of the block is inked and transferred to paper. Each colour in an image is a separate carving.
