Sancerre Rose Dom de la Villaudiere

The brilliant dress, bright pink color with salmon reflections opens on a nose intense which combines the smells of small red fruits (strawberry, cherry, currant) with spicy nuances. The palate, immediately balanced between freshness and roundness, seduced by its ample character and its persistence. The floral aromas and fruity pleasantly coat the palate in a long and airy finish.

Description

Domaine de la Villaudiere is owned by Jean-Marie Reverdy together with his son Guillaume. Handed down through several generations, this 15 hectare family estate overlooks the pretty village of Verdigny. The unique location offers stunning views of the famous Sancerre hill and its vineyards.

Sustainable growing (Lutte Raisonee). The vines selected for the wine are around twenty years old. Enjoying an easterly exposure, ripening is slow and gradual. The vines are partially thinned in July to maintain good health throughout the growing cycle and obtain good maturity.

This Sancerre rosé will be best appreciated with Asian inspired pork dishes and summer-time meals.
